RAIN STOPPED PLAY AGAIN

By Brian Sanderson,

There was a chance to go to my favorite Northern cricket ground Sedbergh. Cumberland were playing Lincolnshire in a  Unicorn Championship Eastern Division three day match. Yesterday about 60 overs were bowled with Lincolnshire  225 for 9.

The match started at 10.30  and 45 runs were  added to the total .We arrived as they wicket was being rolled and remarked.Chance for a cup of coffee and biscuit and a walk round the ground. Then it started to rain with Cumberland on 51 for 0.

The weather forecast said the rain would arrive at about 6 o,clock . Wrong again so we returned home after lunch. Arriving back at Headingley, I decided to go and watch Yorkshire Seconds against Lancashire who were batting.Luke Procter passed his century and then was out to Yorkshire Australian, Glenn  Maxwell.

At tea the rain started again so decided to go home in the warmth. See what tomorrow brings.
