PHOTOGRAPHS OF DURHAM MATCH AT SCARBOROUGH

By Brian Sanderson,

I was on holiday for five days at Scarborough during the excellent Durham and Yorkshire Championship  match. The above photograph is on the west end of the ground and is new this year.It seems a long way to go between classes.

The next photograph is Yorkshire score at lunch time on the first morning. Ready to go use Plan B when the match finishes early.

Next photograph is of the fancy dress on Saturday. The Queen and the tennis players.

Next the score after Glenn Maxwell scored his fifty. Durham bowled out for 156 and Yorkshire had been 79 for 5. Now lending by 179.

Next Maxwell maiden century for Yorkshire and still batting with Rashid. A wicket could fall any time .

Next Maxwell out for 140 and Rashid 108 not out. A partnership of 248 which was the best sixth wicket partnership at Scarborough.

Next Yorkshire Championship flag. At Headingley the flag is not shown as Yorkshire need a new rope.

Next Jack Burnham  playing in his first County Championship match and scoring a Fifty. England Under 19 star.

Finally Yorkshire winning on the third day. Six winning matches in the last six matches. Sussex next.
