SHORT DAY AT WORK

By Brian Sanderson,

This morning was still cold but no gloves today.Prospect of seeing Yorkshire winning attracted about fifty people. Tony and Jenny returned from Richmond yesterday with the news that  Yorkshire Academy beat Durham.

It was a chance to see want form Andrew Gale was in before he returns to the first team at Trent Bridge on Sunday.Today he decided to attack the bowling scoring 71 in 96 scoring 8 fours. He and Elliot Callis put on a partnership of 77 in twenty overs. The morning session started before 11.A.M so the Umpires must have wanted a early lunch . Also Dicky Bird clock had stopped over night so another job for Yorkshire to put right.Gale was out caught by the wicket-keeper  and seem to give his wicket away.Above he is walking off the pitch .

Ryan Gibson and Elliot Callis won the match just after noon.So moving on  to Weetwood tomorrow and chance to see Root and Ballance on the television this afternoon.
