WATCHING THE FUTURE CHAMPIONS ?

By Brian Sanderson,

Myself and Bob Procter had a trip to Derby to see the second day of the Derby and Durham match. The forecast was fine for the day which made a contrast to Wednesday.

Madsen was soon out but that proven the only wicket of the morning session. We were able to talk to John Wager.a Durham member and a memorabilia collector who was down for the four days. When the new ball was taken wickets started to fall but I must mention the excellent innings of 53 by Chanderpaul and the photo graph is of him walking off.Derby lost out on one bonus batting point when they were all out on 298.

Footitt decided to take a single on the last bowl of an over and the next ball was out whilst Groenwald a better batsman was not out at the other end.I hope this loss of a point does not help to put Derby into the second division.
The above picture is of Claydon and Rushworth chatting infront of us. Next season Claydon is going to play for Kent.
The above photograph was taken of Cook having his picture taken my a professional after his  heart attack.
Could this be his final season ?
The above photograph is of the groundstaff awaiting the final Derby wicket of  innings.
This morning I purchased the Daily Telegraph  and even professional  make errors reporting on cricket.
Even though my spelling is not good it is better than this report.

I must mention there has now been over 1000 reports  on this web-site.Hope you are enjoying them with still more  reports  eventhough  we are getting to the end od the 2013 season.
