Another rainy finish

Posted by Brian Sanderson,

Another cloudy day with prospects of rain in the afternoon.Going into the Long Room sat down with John, Jenny and Mollie. The talk was about the new pavilion. It seems the dressing room is to small for Hannon-Dalby.

Warwickshire were seven wickets down. There was more play last night after I had left and two wickets were taken.Pattison took the three wickets with a brilliant catch by Pyrah.Andy and Richard were there again. Richard is making strawberry beer.AT lunch Warwickshire were twenty-eight for one wicket.Maddy was the first to be out from Rashid.

After lunch Troughton got hit with a rising ball from Best causing him to leave the field.Rashid looked like the bowler to take the wickets but bowled some bad balls.By tea they had reached one hundred and forty-two for three wickets.Javid replaced Troughton.

Clarke and Javid progressed easily to one hundred and ninety-three when it started to rain.Yorkshire will have to bowl better to-morrow to win the match. Nottingham had lost to Essex.
